Tim Kelly, Founder of the British Bulldogge

Tim Kelly is originally from North East England. He was bornin 1972. As a teen Tim raised Bullmastiffs and various Bulldog breeds and began his love affair with the bully breeds.

In 1995, Tim moved from London England to Old Forge, Pennsylvania. There he began his involvement with Raymond Schneider and the Olde English Bulldogge.

He put on various shows, including the first ever all breed Bulldogge shows with the World Bulldogge Association.

Tim has been given the title of the Alternative bulldog master virtually naming all other types of bulldogs and the brainchild of most of the clubs that have popped up over the past several years. Tim also started many other lines of bulldogs out of accident sometimes!! Tim also was the one who first Started the rescue in the USA for OEBs and Alternative bull breeds. The British Bulldogge is the brain child of Tim Kelly. Tim is one of the best known Bulldogge
breeders in the United States and Britain and is considered by his colleagues to be a true Bulldogge Man

Several years ago, Tim Kelly decided to concentrate on a new breed of Bulldogge. While there are several lines of bulldogge
at the moment being bred in North America and Europe, Tim was on a unique mission with his breed and lines. Tim has chosen to create the ultimate family dog in his stock of British Bulldogges! Not the ultimate guard dog like so many other breeders are working their lines to create

Tim's idea and goal and with much help of like minded breeders has now become a reality his breed, the British Bulldogge, now fulfills a sole purpose in life... "to please the family."

The temperaments of these British Bulldogges are nothing short of incredible; they are true and sound bulldogges that have been painstakingly bred for overall healthlongevity and the unshaking standard that aggression not be tolerated in the breed.

Tim is quoted as saying "I want a licker not a biter!" Tim has made many enemies within the fighting and guard dog circles that give the bulls such a bad reputation but, his outspoken
view points on the creation of a gentle breed has won him many accolades and praise within the breeding community. He has always campaigned against having aggressive dogs and breeding aggressive dogs.

Although Tim realizes there will always be a need for the
aggressive guard dogs, in the performance of business
protection and property protection, such dogs are not for
dissemination within the general population, should never
end up in the hands of familys, which can never end with
anything but very bad results, and such animals should only
be handled by security dog experts.

The British Bulldogge has been bred to be almost a larger
version of the English Bulldog, but is much healthier and
much better looking. In order for anyone to be a BB Breeder,
one must go through a strict process and be committed to the mission of club. BB Breeders must promote the dog as a family member first and foremost and must not be associated with protection or security dog breeding in any connection to BBs  whatsoever. BB Breeders must be on board with the main objective of the club... which is always TEMPERAMENT first !!

Words from Tim Kelly...

I have seen several aggressive dogs being bred only to produce aggressive dogs, I don't wish to be apart of that mentality any longer. I want to have dogs which I don't have to second guess and confidently sell dogs to families without ever receiving a horror story.

It may seem a hard thing to cut a fabulous dog from your
breeding programme... but if it's an aggressive dog, then it
has no place in the British Bulldogge breed.

I am a lucky individual to have several experienced breeders
with the same mindset, together we will produce the ultimate
family dog and the bulldogge which can truly be worthy of the
title of
"Mans Best Friend".
